The Maggie Golf

Our Impact

We steward.
We program.
We build for longevity.
We create pathways to opportunity.

Maggie Hathaway Golf Course is not only a place to play. It is a platform to open doors. Through golf, community programming, and shared space, the work is designed to build confidence, expand access, and connect youth and families to long-term opportunity.

The Maggie Golf

Junior Golf

In partnership with SCGA Junior Golf Foundation, Maggie creates structured pathways into the game.

Youth are introduced to golf through instruction, mentorship, and consistent engagement. Programming is designed to build confidence, discipline, and a sense of belonging while creating real pathways to opportunity.

After-school programming
Junior golf instruction and clinics
Mentorship and character development
Access for youth who might not otherwise encounter the game

Access is intentional. Pathways are real.

The Maggie Golf

Community Programming

Alongside SAYPI and community partners, programming extends beyond the course.

The course serves as a neighborhood resource, supporting youth and families through consistent, community-based engagement.

  • After-school enrichment
  • Family programming and events
  • School and community partnerships
  • Safe, accessible space for gathering and activity

These efforts ensure that Maggie Hathaway Golf Course reflects and serves the community around it.

The Maggie Golf

Community Center

The renovation of the golf course created an opportunity to rethink how the land is used and to establish a shared space at Maggie Hathaway Golf Course that extends beyond the game.

The Community Center supports traditional golf operations, including space for course staff, while also creating classrooms and areas for community gathering.

Every round of golf and every moment at the driving range offers lessons. The Community Center extends that learning beyond the course, creating additional pathways to opportunity.

Its purpose is to partner with leading organizations to deliver educational programming, provide a place for students to connect after school, and host community events that strengthen the neighborhood.

The Maggie Golf

Course Stewardship

The Maggie Junior Golf and Community Foundation supports the long-term viability of Maggie Hathaway Golf Course as a municipal asset.

This includes ongoing investment in course conditions, infrastructure, and operations to ensure the facility remains accessible, welcoming, and sustainable for public use.

Course renewal and capital improvements
Clubhouse and facility enhancements
Long-term planning for sustainability and access

The course is not only restored. It is actively stewarded.

The Maggie Golf

A New Community Model

Course stewardship, junior golf, community programming, and the Community Center are not separate efforts.

They form a single model:

  • A public course
  • A structured youth pathway
  • A community anchor

Built for longevity. Designed to expand opportunity over time.
